Transferring ownership of your prepaid mobile means you are giving your number to a third party, who will then be able to use the number with the phone line registered in their name.
According to legislation, the current owner of the line to be transferred must complete the following documents:
A Solemn Declaration via gov.gr, regarding the details of the line holder, using the following template: "I agree to transfer my mobile number ........., which belongs to the VODAFONE PANAFON S.A. HELLENIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK, to the new user with the name ...... and ID number ....."
Afterwards, both the new and the previous owner need to submit the above documents, completed and signed, along with identification documents (ID card or passport) at a Vodafone store to initiate the process.
There is no additional cost for transferring a prepaid mobile line.
*Important note: If both parties cannot be present at the store to proceed with the transfer request, the recipient of the line must come with their identification document (ID card/passport), an authorization, and a copy of the ID of the transferor (current subscriber). The authorization must be certified by a competent authority and must clearly state that the transfer of the specific number is authorized.
For the authorization to be accepted, it must:
Include the full details of the person granting the authorization: full name, father’s name, address, ID number, tax ID number, date of birth, phone number
Include the full details of the person being authorized
State the purpose of the authorization, i.e., that the prepaid mobile owner authorizes their representative to submit the respective request
Bear a stamp confirming the authenticity of the signatures of those granting the authorizations. Alternatively, an equivalent authorization can be issued via gov.gr
