What should I do if I lost my device or it was stolen?

If you’ve lost your phone or it’s been stolen, you need to take the following two steps:

  1. SIM Block Call 13830 immediately or contact Tobi via live chat so we can block your SIM and prevent any unwanted charges on your account. If the loss is permanent, visit a Vodafone store to get a new SIM card and reconnect your number to it, making the stolen SIM inactive. (See here for SIM card replacement)

  2. Device Lock You can request your device to be locked by bringing a police theft report to a Vodafone store, which must include your device’s IMEI number.

If the IMEI is not listed on the police report, you’ll need to provide additional proof of the IMEI, which can be:

  • The device purchase receipt showing the IMEI

  • The device packaging (box or part of it) with the IMEI clearly visible

  • A new connection/renewal contract that lists the IMEI

  • A statutory declaration (Law 1599/1986) stating the device’s IMEI

If you later find your phone, you can visit a Vodafone store and request to lift the block.
