From 10/01/2022, subscribers aged 15-29 are entitled to an exemption from mobile telephony fees.
All individuals aged 15 to 29. Specifically, those who have reached their 14th year of age and have not reached their 30th year by December 31, 2021. For example, a subscriber who turns 29 in March 2022 is entitled to the exemption until December 31, 2022.
Those who have a mobile phone number with a Greek mobile service provider.
For exemption in the Mi.D.A.Te registry, only one mobile phone number can be declared per beneficiary. If you have custody of one or more minor beneficiaries, you can apply for the exemption for each of them by declaring the respective mobile phone numbers.
To receive the fee exemption, you must submit an application to the Register of Beneficiaries of Fee Exemptions for Mobile Telephony Subscribers and Prepaid Telephony (MiDATe) . The application for exemption for a minor beneficiary is submitted by the person with custody of the minor, who must also enter their own AMKA or PAAUPA.
The application can be submitted in two ways:
A. Online
If you choose to apply online, below are the steps for activation.
Log in to https://mobilefees.gov.gr/ (MiDATe) using your TaxisNet credentials
Enter your AMKA or Temporary Number of Insurance and Healthcare for Foreigners (PAAYPA) and select "Continue"
Select "New Application"
Choose whether the exemption concerns you or a minor under your custody. (If the exemption concerns a minor under your custody, you must select this in the displayed tab. In MiDATe, the application is submitted by the person with custody of the minor beneficiary, who must also enter their own AMKA or PAAUPA.)
Select your mobile service provider
Enter your mobile number so a one-time code can be sent to you for verification
Enter the code in the relevant field
If you have registered successfully, you will receive a confirmation SMS on the mobile number you declared for the exemption activation from the mobile telephony subscription fee

B. In Person at K.E.P.
If you choose to visit a Citizens' Service Centers (KEP), below are the documents you will need to bring and what you should know:
An identification document*
Know your AMKA or PAAUPA and optionally your AFM
Bring the mobile phone for which you are applying for the fee exemption, so you can receive a one-time code for verification
*Regarding the type of identification document, you should bring:
For Greek citizens: your ID card or the relevant temporary certificate from the competent authority, or a valid passport, or your driver’s license, or your individual health booklet
For citizens of an EU Member State: a valid ID card or passport from your country; for third-country citizens: a valid passport or residence permit issued under Law 4251/2014 (A’ 80) and Presidential Decree 106/2007 (A’ 135) and currently valid, or another document allowing entry into the country, or documents issued by the competent Greek authorities

Number portability. In the case of number portability to another provider, and as long as there is no simultaneous transfer of the line to another holder, the fee exemption will be maintained. If your application appears in MiDATe as “Portability Failure,” you must delete the initial application and submit a new one.
