Tips on using Backup+ on iOS

When the app is open in foreground, your content can be backed up easily and lasts until a couple of minutes after closing the app. This is a restriction from the iOs platform. To ensure your files are always backed up, it is recommended to open the client every now and then. Also allowing your files to be backed up when having the client in forground will make sure everything is safely backed up.

Where can I find my backed up content?

Your contacts are safely stored at Vodafone you can access them via https://contacts.vodafone.gr. Your other content you can access in Dropbox within the Vodafone Backup+ folder.

What happens when I delete backed up content in Dropbox?

When you delete a folder in Dropbox we will automatically switch the back up for this album to off. When deleting only a file, we will just make sure that that file is not being backed up anymore.

I want to restore my phone

You can do this simply from within the Backup+ app.

# Restore contacts: enable 'Contacts sync' within your backup settings and they will be synced with your address book on your phone.

# Restore other content: choose 'Download' within the menu to restore other content back to your device. You'll only be able to download content that is backed up via Backup+ and stored in the Backup+ folder in Dropbox. Once you have completed the download you will be able to find it back in your gallery or audio player.

Can I use Vodafone Backup+ on more than 1 device?

Yes, you can use Backup+ on multiple devices at the same time. Just install the Backup+ client, log in, connect with your Dropbox account and you're all set.

I've lost my phone. What should I do? 

You will need to disconnect Dropbox from the lost phone and the Vodafone Backup+ app. In order to do this, follow the steps below:

# Log into your Dropbox account on your PC

# Go to 'Settings' and choose the 'Security' tab.

# Unlink the Backup+ app as well as the phone you have lost.

This will log you out of your Dropbox account on that phone and disconnects the link between your Backup+ account and your Dropbox account.

Don't forget to get in touch with Vodafone to report your phone as lost or stolen and we’ll block your phone and SIM card.

I forgot my password for Backup+

Backup+ makes use of the Vodafone ID, also being used for other Vodafone services such as Vodafone Contacts and Vodafone Protect. You can reset you password via https://vfglogin.vodafone.com..

I am getting an error when connecting my Dropbox account to Backup+.

It might be that you're trying to connect a different account to your Backup account than you're registered with . You can only link one Dropbox account to Backup+. If you want to change the Dropbox account or you cannot remember which Dropbox account you have connected with Backup+, please call our Vodafone Customer Care. They can help you further.

How much does backup+ cost?

All Vodafone mobile subscribers can activate the service.

For subscribers with Vodafone RED program, the service is free.

For subscribers who do not have Vodafone RED service program is available at only 2.01€ € / month (24% VAT included).

How often does Vodafone Backup+ automatically back up?

Backup+ will try to upload your content as soon as it is created, although this is subject to your network preferences.

The time taken to complete the upload depends on your internet connection and the size of the files you're uploading. If you are using an iOS device and you have a large set of files it can take a la bit longer due to restrictions on iOS. Please read our tips on using Backup+ for iOS.
